LES RUCHERS CLERC

Honey and jam producer

Whether outside in his beehives or inside in his laboratory, you will find Philippe Clerc in white. In overalls or in a smock. The honey of this dynasty is a long story, Philippe being the last. Between Revermont and Bresse, he deploys his 350 "houses" on 12 sites. His "workers" bequeath him spring, flower, acacia, mountain, lime and fir honeys. You will be able to taste the range including its honey sweets, the recipe of the grandfather. One will also note the will to maintain very wise prices.

Since 2019, Coralie Chateignier has been based in the heart of this BFC "cité comtoise de Caractère". This takeover also revitalizes the village's bakery and patisserie, reinforcing the local offer. Here, farmhouse and specialty breads are made by hand, as are the pastries. The chocolates are just as homemade, from the purest cocoa to macvin ganache, to name but a few. Let yourself be tempted by a "made in Jura" cake. A lovely, gourmet stop-off.

"Do simple things with good products." This is the thread that runs through Aurelius' bakery. Aurèle Tournier could have ended her professional life in the family printing shop in Côte d'Or. But at the age of 40, this assertive epicurean, fond of bread and pastries, started a "CAP baker". And it's the opening of her own bakery in 2007... in an old butcher's shop; butcher's daughter herself! The craftswoman kneads and shapes only local flours, 100% organic with a strictly homemade leaven. Its range is varied: from semi-complete, to rye, spelt... with dried fruits as well (nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, raisins). La Sellièroise also conceives its shop as a tourist break with documentation, regional products and a tea room. The resonance of its reputation has spread so far beyond regional boundaries that it has been distinguished by the "Gault & Millau" guide.

Since taking over the estate, Laura and Nicolas Mathon have been involved in organic conversion. Their 12 hectares are home to apples, pears, cherries and strawberries. Private pickers can choose from 23 varieties of apples, as well as cider juice and vinegar, jams and compotes. New services will be added in 2021 with a fresh fruit distributor and the purchase of a press. The latter will allow everyone to come and extract the juice from their fruit. 1,600 trees will also be added to the orchard by 2022 to expand the range of products on offer.
