Perched at 450 meters above sea level, this charming village offers a breathtaking view over the Sorne valley. It is best known for its namesake wine, Château-Chalon. This dry white wine, made from the Savagnin grape variety, is one of the finest wines of the Jura, even classified as one of the world's best crus, and is appreciated by connoisseurs the world over. Golden stone houses and narrow cobbled streets give the village a picturesque atmosphere. Admire the winegrowers' buildings and the Saint-Pierre church in the heart of the village. The Plus beaux villages de France label is richly deserved!
