Built on a hill, this medieval village offers a panoramic view of the Bresse, the Bourgogne Mountains and the Revermont. We should call it Toulouse-LES-Châteaux! The remains of a tower of the ancient medieval castle, located in the «village over», dominate the village. The most recent castle, on the road from Poligny to Sellières, today houses a vigneronne cellar. The church of the fifteenth century houses interesting statues of alabaster of the «twins»: Speusippe, Eleusippe and Méleusippe. These three brothers were reportedly martyred with their grandmother in Cappadocia. Their relics were reportedly brought back to the Middle Ages. The town of Toulouse-le-Château is also located in the village of the Baudin forges, even though it is geographically closer to Sellières.
