Olmeta's main attraction is the Marine de Negru, a pebbly beach at the foot of a well-preserved 16th-century Genoese tower. Deserted in the 12th century due to barbarian invasions, the small marine was populated in the Middle Ages. Cave paintings dating back to the 2nd century B.C. have been discovered in a cave called Grotta Scritta: the oldest discovered in Corsica. At the heart of the marina, the Pont de Negru is a central feature of the landscape and part of the heritage of Genoese bridges built between the 13th and 18th centuries under Pisan and Genoese occupation. It was almost completely destroyed during a flood in November 2016.
