The only commune on the Cap not to have an opening to the sea, this wild valley hides one of the most beautiful panoramas on the Cap Corse. An ancient stone-paved path (now a forest track) crosses the mountain to reach Sisco, passing at the foot of Monte Stello (1,307 m) via the Col Saint-Jean, from where you can see both seas. The village's ancient oil mills bear witness to the region's flourishing agricultural past. In the hamlet of Ferragini, you'll find the church of Saint-André and the ruins of the ancient Romanesque church of San-Quilico. The other hamlet, Lainosa, boasts an oratory and family mausoleums.
