Overlooking the bubbling waters that crash against the rocks, Pino is home to houses of different periods and styles, recognizable by the variety of stones used. A little further on, the walk (distance 2.8 kilometers, duration 1h30, yellow signposts) begins, tumbling down to the Marine de Scalu and skirting charming abandoned gardens. Pino has preserved a highly developed system for storing and distributing irrigation water. Some of the finest remains of this system can be seen along the way. Majestic tombs line the roadside, including that of one of Gustave Eiffel's daughters.
