It is in Corscia, in 1720, that the Diu vi Salvi Regina was sung for the first time and became the Corsican anthem in 1735. It was composed by Salvatore Costa, a shepherd from the village, while he was being chased by the Genoese. From the village, you can set off to discover the famous Scala di Santa-Regina, a vertiginous stone staircase, ten kilometres long, which was once the only access road to the Niolu. Beautiful sacred architecture with the church of San-Salvadore above the road at 892 m above sea level, between Costa and Cavallaracce, and the chapel of San-Bancraziu, on a rocky peak at 846 m above sea level outside the village. The chapel overlooks the Golo valley.
