Beautiful village with Baroque-style houses. The surrounding area abounds in prehistoric remains, including a statue-menhir at Cornadoja. Archaeologist Acquaviva founded the Lieninoï Museum in one of the village's houses. From the hamlet of Calasima, the highest in Corsica at 1,100 m, you can begin a tour of the Cinque Frati, the region's highest peaks: Punta Minuta (2,556 m) to the north, Punta Artica (2,327 m) to the south, Paglia Orba (2,525 m) and Capo Tafonato (2,335 m) to the west. You can also explore the Valdu Niellu forest, one of the largest in Corsica, and stroll among the immense pine trees.
