Village perched on some kind of mountain dorsal thorn. His bell tower painted in nine makes common appearance with the town hall. Above the main hamlet, do not miss to go along the road lined with olive trees that augurs for a beautiful and unknown region. The village, whose name means "les hauts pins", was once an important center in the region. The village square, named Piazza Mauraccia (square square), recalls the courage of the population of Altiani, who rose up against the Maures during invasions. Do not miss the three arch genois bridge in the valley on the Tavignano, now closed to traffic, and the San Giovanni chapel on the RT 50.
