Less than 500 inhabitants for this commune located on the left bank of the Vienne, also bathed by the Veude. Anché borders on the communes of Chinon, towards which it is turned, and, in the opposite direction, towards L'Île-Bouchard, also in Indre-et-Loire, outside the territory of the community of communes. It is an essentially agricultural territory which shelters the three Historic Monuments that are the church of Saint-Symphorien, the castle of Brétignolles and the manor of Bois de Veude, located in the street of the same name. There are no shops in Anché, whose inhabitants buy their supplies in the neighboring towns, but the atmosphere is peaceful and picturesque
