LE COIN SAVOYARD
Read moreLocated in the heart of Mont Blanc's pearl as one likes to call Combloux's village, the Savoyard Corner enjoys an exceptional panorama. And you can understand why the terrace is being stormed when the sun is high. Ski runs and hikes open the appetite, and it is with a dissimulé pleasure that you put a foot inside this cozy chalet brimming with serenity and delicious smells. The wood-covered wooden benches act as an invitation to comfort before fondre pleasure in front of the map. The mountain gastronomy, as a gondola head, offers ginger, fondue, tartiflette, hot vacherin or even Beaufort crust, morels and yellow wine. ESCALE A BELLE-ILE
Read moreThe rue des Marronniers, traditionally dedicated to Lyon cuisine and not always the best, offers us a new Stopover in Belle-Ile. While last year, we had the choice between Brittany and Savoy, the balance has definitively turned to the west side of France with new owners. Small terrace in the street, warm rooms covered with blond woodwork adorned with a few marine photos, reception and service of exemplary discretion and remarkable efficiency. This leaves us all leisure to savour the pancakes and pancakes of a genuine crêpier adhering to a group of real professionals who defend the good taste of buckwheat flour, here 100% organic, and a completely homemade fabrication based on fresh produce. The classics are déclinent déclinent, from ham egg cheese to spinach cream cream, and we cracked for a galette to Brittany's massive that one would have liked even more generous (when it's good…). Beautiful salads of the vegetable garden, well-appointed and well composed, and among the many pancakes, a wonderful treat to the caramel salt De salt, a treat.
LE RELAIS DU COMTE VERT
Read moreIf the Relais du Comte Vert is also a bar, we also present it in the bistro section. This is worth 100 meters behind the post for lunch! A homemade kitchen with local or fresh products, a warm welcome, a light addition, you need more! You will meet with people, pensioners, office employees next to those who pass. The menu of the day is correct and frankly a great day dish and good for 8,50 euros. Unbeatable on quality and price ratio. We tested the veal roast with its crozets in green vegetables and vegetables (not canned). Soft and goûteuse meat. Homemade desserts. In season, a cabri to the morels. Other season, head of calf sauce béarnaise. On reservation at night, frites mussels, frogs. On Friday evening, wholesale fishing, a fondue to fish and crustaceans, but also burgundian or savoyard shingles. A good address with a simple décor!

SUSHI WA LOUNGE
Read moreSushi is an art that few cooks master. True, very little on Lyon and we are happy to enter the world of Sushi Wa Lounge, small frêre of an excellent Japanese restaurant, the Takeyama located on the same street. Eating at the Sushi Wa Lounge is an unforgettable experience to renew as often as possible (and as it is open every day!). Without being frightened by the word "lounge", too, in all the sauces, we discovered a splendid interior, a harmonious blend of Japanese tradition and modern touches. If the small lounge with a low table is most pleasant, you can settle near the famous treadmill where the wonders prepared by a Korean chef in sushi, maki, sashimi and other California roll. The plats soups, salads and original dishes that bring us to the land of the rising sun are also included in the plats. A quality, dépaysante and tasty address in the heart of Lyon.

MEMPHIS COFFEE
Read moreIn a typical 1950s building in the United States, has just moved to Villars, near Alinéa a Memphis Coffee. Stainless steel fronts on the outside, black and white checkered floors, colored leather benches, jukeboxes, vintage gas pumps, posters of American stars on the inside, cartoons, American football, rodeo or cowboy movies on the screens, the decoration of the Memphis Coffee is reminiscent of Uncle Sam's world. On the menu, in addition to the must-have hot dog, there are also typical American recipes served at the table: burgers, triangle sandwiches, starters, salads, hot dogs, grilled meats but also ice creams and pastries imported from the United States.

LE MIDI MINUIT
Read moreKnown for a long time in the old Charlemagne district (becoming since then the new Confluence district), the Midi Minuit brasserie was set up in the heart of the Presqu'île (the peninsula), Rue de la République, two years ago. And that's why, one Sunday of balances opening, your favourite Petit Futé was sitting at a brasserie, one of the very few restaurants open in the sector with so wide opening hours! First good point, Midi Minuit has kept a large part of the superb decoration of the place by tastefully vegetating it. In addition, a small terrace sheltered from the passageway as a bonus. As for the service, we felt the intent to do well, some degree of efficiency and the attempts to smile behind a stained blouse, but let's say there is still room for improvement. The most amazing thing is undoubtedly the cuisine. A true short menu (problem, more salmon steak…) and dishes home cooked by a chef who holds up. Some snacks and flammekueches (that could be avoided), giant salads, but above all a lamb shoulder confit in its pearl juice, a duck breast and fig chips or a royal sea bream fillet in almond crumble. All is done at honest rates. Desserts slightly lower for the quality and slightly higher for the rates (a floating island with citruses a little bit tough at €7). In a nutshell, the address of République has pleasantly surprised us, even though some adjustments still need to be made.

LE KIOSQUE
Read moreLocated in the former premises of the Aurillac tourist office, Le Kiosque is a very pleasant place with spring colours, situated in the heart of the town at the entrance to the Square park. In the summer, you'll opt for its pleasant, generously laid-out terrace. This beautiful place combines the services of a bar, tea room and restaurant. Note its tastings of local products at weekends, not forgetting its traditional oysters for a moment of iodine escape. Welcoming, romantic and tasty. We like it for a meeting between friends.
A LA PORTE D’AUVERGNE

DU CÔTÉ DE CHEZ XANE
Read moreWe are not really on the side of Chez Swann, since this passage (careful, it is not a traboule) open between Quai Saint-Antoine and Rue Mercière takes us to Thailand. A totally unexpected setting for an exotic restaurant in many ways. First, because among a series of bouchons and other custom-tailored restaurants for the many tourists who pace up and down the neighbourhood, this one takes us where we do not expect to be, in Thailand. Secondly, because the restaurant occupies a more than discrete passage, more visible by the Saône-side wharf than by Rue Mercière, and that it is settled on both sides of the passage! Two dining rooms facing each other to taste a good-quality Thai cuisine, made by a traditional chef. For the reception and the service, Futé continues to claim that they are irregular and you can be received with a smile, just as you may feel really unwanted. Futé tried to eat there this year, but a person told us that the service wouldn't start before 1pm! Don't get hungry too early… and resume work at 2pm. Another weak point in the house, the desserts that are not a specialty of the destination. Original address rooted in the local landscape, but too "uncertain" to be recommended.

CHEZ REGINA
Read moreA situation in an exceptional environment on the peaceful plateau of Les Glières, on the Petit-Bornand side. In winter, you can drive to the foot of the large mountain chalet that became the bar-restaurant l'Amandière or Chez Régina. Typical both for its architecture and the style of its décor as well as for its cuisine of mountain specialities: potato fritters, herb salad, local deli meats, country terrine, trout smoked by Fabienne and Hubert - just like the smoked reblochon pie. A simple and generous cuisine with quality local products. To digest everything, you can cross the plateau by snowshoeing in 30 minutes or by cross-country skiing to reach the famous Monument de la Résistance, on the Thorens-les-Glières side. A very pleasant meal and walk in a preserved nature. In summer, access is also possible from the Thorens-les-Glières side, with a drive across the plateau to the chalet restaurant.
