Cuisine made from traditional products served with home-made desserts in Brioude.

In this bistro-style restaurant, which seats about forty, the chef concocts a cuisine based on traditional products. Some dishes can simmer for up to two or three days (this is why specialities such as cassoulet or sauerkraut from the Périgord are only served to order with a 48-hour delay). You will find here typical dishes from the Auvergne, but also from the South-West - a nod to the manager's origins, who comes from the Gers. The desserts are home-made, and what desserts!

Testé lundi 20 janvier à midi : tout était parfait. Accueil chaleureux avec une pointe d'humour, la viande était extrêmement tendre et les légumes parfaitement assaisonnés. Quant au moelleux au chocolat il était excellent. Le chef nous indique cuisiner de façon très digeste avec des bouillons d'herbes, pas de gras superflu ! Un plus non négligeable pour continuer à travailler l'après midi d'autant que le résultat est délicieux. Je recommande vivement de découvrir ce restaurant.

QUE DU BONHEUR !!! Enfin une bonne table sur Brioude qui ne tri pas ses clients par classe sociale...Excellente adresse pour les amateurs de décor et cuisine authentique entièrement fait maison avec des produits de qualité. Le patron est un homme très chaleureux qui gère l'accueil ainsi que le service pendant que sa moitié est en cuisine pour le bonheur de nos papilles. A renouveler sans modération :)

If you have the rather gloomy atmosphere of the economic crisis, I recommend this small restaurant. Visiting the region Brioude, I stopped with Campagnard.
Very pleasant surprises. A warm welcome by the owner, local cuisine at a very reasonable price.
When the others serve salad "niçoise", chips and land beef, Campagnard you discover for 13,95€ part of local specialities wine and coffee included.
The dish is full of local flavours and belly, that ask.
