Close to the places of interest and within a walking distance from the beaches of Lake Geneva, the former Hôtel-café du Commerce of 1900 was transformed in 2016 into a charming hotel with a bar-restaurant under the pretty name of Tasse à Moustache - the Rémi restaurant, well known to the profession, and which had once nestled in the famous Château de Ripaille. Anecdotally, A la Tasse à Moustache is a nod to the dandies, for whom, at the end of the 19th century, this cup was invented. It has a porcelain bridge so that they can drink their drinks while keeping their moustache dry. A whole art at the service of elegance... At the entrance of the restaurant, you can admire a pretty collection of moustache cups. But you come here to enjoy the market cuisine at a very competitive price, because Chef Rémi and his sidekick Mathieu at the service offer a unique menu that varies every day according to the fresh seasonal produce. It consists of a trio of starters, a casserole dish - a stew of your choice with vegetables - which can be served with a Ripaille wine - and cheese or a dessert of the day. During the day, the bar-restaurant offers snacks - cheese board, charcuterie dish or dessert of the day. A protected terrace in a contemporary style allows you to enjoy the outdoors on sunny days. Accueil très chaleureux et une petite pointe d'humour très appréciable.
les plats sont composés de produits frais et sont très joliment présentés.
La suite parentale est juste sublime...Nous adorons .
L'accueil est à l'image du restaurant : chaleureux et généreux ... une adresse à ne pas manquer.
Une formule du marché est proposée chaque jour. Bonne cuisine et accueil sans chichis.
La cuisine est fraiche, sans trop de saveur toutefois, et les portions congrues.
Grosse déception quant à l'accueil.
Le sourire est rare, et la courtoisie proportionnelle au montant de l'addition.
J'y ai déjeuné aujourd'hui avec 3 amies, et nous nous sommes entendues dire assez vertement que "notre réservation n'était pas intéressante pour le restaurateur car nous n'avions pas consommé de boissons alcoolisées"...
cqfd ... Si vous êtes adepte de la "simple carafe d'eau, vous n'êtes pas le bienvenu".

Très grande propreté
La cuisine n'est pas en reste avec un seul menu à 17,5O euros qui change chaque jour. Trois petites entrées puis plat principal en caquelon toujours très chaud et enfin dessert ou fromage
Ce sont deux amis qui tiennent le restaurant, un en cuisine et l'autre en salle toujours très aimables et de bon conseil
Nous nous y rendons régulièrement quand nous allons à Thonon
