Located on the second floor of a charming renovated house, it serves oysters, lobster, camarones al pil pil, sea urchins and dishes with Spanish and Basque influences. The place is rather quiet and intimate, we appreciate the service and the dishes that compete with freshness and quality: all the cuisine reminds the flavors of the ocean, a real feast! Don't forget to drink a pisco sour.

A typical picada very famous in Santiago, opened in 1912. One drinks terremoto (white wine, pisco and pineapple ice cream), of course, the emblematic drink of the place. You can also stay and eat and choose a plateada, an arrollado con papas, a carne mechada con puré or a cazuela de cerdo. In short, good Chilean dishes that fit your stomach! The place is often crowded and very lively, do not count on calm and privacy. A merry mess to eat with the local sauce.

This restaurant is still new and has a nice setting (wood, portholes...) and offers a varied menu and local flavours. The dishes are relatively copious and good value for money (fish, seafood, barbecued meats, etc.). A lot of locals meet for lunch: normal, the menu is really cheap. It's a perfect fit because there are dishes for all tastes and budgets. However, we recommend more meat, fish and seafood that sometimes lack flavour.

A picada, which today looks like a cafeteria, well known to Santiaguinos on the road to the South. They love the lomo sandwiches (with pork), particularly copious and delicious, the Italian arrollados and the pailas. Meat lovers will be delighted: you can also buy dried meat, sausages, chorizos, ham or local pâtés. You can also have breakfast: ham, cheese, eggs... everything is consistent and generously served. A simple, efficient and very cheap cuisine!

As its name suggests, this small restaurant with its rustic atmosphere and architecture (wooden slices and pebbles on the walls) offers very good wood-fired pizzas, lamb in all its forms, salmon, pasta and sandwiches. The dishes are homemade and relatively copious. The good news is that the kitchen closes late (sometimes until 1am), so this is the address to remember for freshly landed and particularly hungry travellers! The music playlist is nice, you can even make your own suggestions!

Not really typical because it is brand new, this market offers on the first floor fish shops that flatter the eyes of greedy travelers: huge conger eels and giant crabs in season, but also ceviches in trays for a cheap price. On the second floor, a few small restaurants offer seafood (around $5,000 a dish), including chupe de centolla. Finally, on the top floor, the Vistamar restaurant offers a more varied and elaborate menu, with a beautiful view of the waterfront. A touristy place but very nice.

This small Chilean restaurant is very popular with locals. It mainly serves southern specialties such as cordero (mutton) or paila marina (seafood and fish soup), but also sandwiches. The service is very fast, immediately ordered, immediately served and the dishes are very copious. The cuisine is neither refined nor delicate but certainly nourishing. Order the lamb, cooked on embers, it is the emblematic dish of the house and the meat is delicious. A local canteen that does the job perfectly.

Very good Italian restaurant, well decorated and with smiling service. It has been serving food for over 20 years. You can find simple but delicious creations: various antipastos, excellent pasta and lasagne. For our part, we fell in love with the cannellone (especially with crab or jaiba). The house also offers a good wine list. A good address to enjoy without breaking your wallet. You can find the restaurant at another address in San Pedro de la Paz street and in the historical centre.

La Loba ("the she-wolf"), who is actually the owner, comes to welcome you and serves good seafood or meat cuisine (try the plateada). It is one of the best addresses in Pichilemu. The welcome is professional, the atmosphere bright and the dishes prepared with great refinement. Grilled octopus with olive sauce, loco risotto, tuna ceviche, lasagne or gnocchi, Leonor prepares excellent quality dishes based on the principle of slow food, a movement from Italy based on eco-gastronomy.

The cocinerías of this typical market offer a generous, tasty and cheap cuisine. In a very folkloric atmosphere, you will be able to taste the famous Chillán sausage(longaniza), a speciality of the city, but also typical Chilean dishes: turkey cazuela , pastel de choclo, empanadas and pebre cuchareado (untranslatable, but a must for the Chilean aperitif!). One of the most picturesque markets in the country and well worth its reputation. You can also find handicrafts there.

A small Italian restaurant that seduces for the quality of its dishes: tuna carpaccio, fettucine de merquén and its lamb stew (our best choice), rabbit in a casserole, saltimboca a la romana... the flavours are surprising and up to our expectations. The dishes are beautifully presented and the service is friendly and pleasant. A good address all in delicacy which will please in particular the couples in the search of an intimate framework. Remember to make a reservation as the restaurant is small and can sometimes be a victim of its success!

You'll have to climb a few streets up Cerro Bellavista to find this authentic little Neapolitan pizzeria occupying a corner of the neighborhood. Here, the chef takes the art of pizza-making very seriously, much to our delight. With its fine, crunchy dough and carefully selected ingredients, the pizzaiolo's job is to sing! After 16 years as caterers, Pablo Bagnara and Francesca Margozzin decided to take the plunge and open their own restaurant. And it's a success. No detail has been left to chance, from the elegant bar and tableware to the service. This couple's desire to give their guests a good time is palpable! His boss decided to open a restaurant to showcase his protégé's culinary skills. It was a complete success. A truly good, inexpensive and local address.

An original and interesting menu (tapas or dishes) for this recent address, which we especially recommend to savour one of the excellent wines on offer (you will find more than 350 Chilean wines on the menu!) while snacking, as the portions to eat are, alas, not very copious and are a bit expensive. To try: the tasting of three different wine varieties. The team of sommeliers on site speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese. A good address to enjoy wine tastings as a couple or with friends.

You will be able to feed yourself at low cost in one of the eight culinary modules that are offered. We find of course, the typical dishes of the archipelago, well served with good humor by very friendly and smiling locals. You can find empanadas, curantos, grilled fish, paila marina or lamb casseroles. For the sweet touch, try the kuchens (German cakes) or go to the bottom right: you will also find a bakery. This family restaurant is exceptional, for the welcome of its owners who come to talk to you, and for the quality of the cuisine they offer. Centolla (giant crab) empanadas with seafood or cheese are delicious as a starter. You are then served the fish of the day, fresh and tasty. And El Chejo himself finally sits down with you to taste a local liqueur... Every Sunday lunchtime, we serve the famous curanto al hoyo for a modest price. A typical and picturesque address just the way we like it!

A typical Valparaíso restaurant, with a cosmopolitan fauna. You'll taste grandma's cooking, very local and tasty. The menu includes cazuelas - many say they are the best in Valparaíso! - fried merluzas or reinetas, bife a lo pobre, pastel de jaiba or machas a la parmesana. The portions are copious. However, if you don't have time and want to eat on the go, order empanadas: they are very good. Be patient, the service is sometimes a bit overworked.

A stone's throw from Caracacoles, in Tocopilla (one of the perpendicular streets), push open the double-leaf door of Picada del Indio and take a look at the menu. Typical Chilean dishes from the four corners of the country are prepared here in generous portions (and at very honest prices compared to the more sophisticated addresses on the main street). Grilled chicken, beef or fish served with vegetables, French fries or rice; mixed salads; pizza; chorillana... There's something for every taste and appetite. A local address just the way we like it.

Victor is responsible for this little gem of a restau-bar. A great jazz aficionado and ardent defender of local culture, Victor decided to create Pulperia in 2023 with the aim of creating a space for exchange. Over a plate of pasta (homemade) and a good wine or pisco sour (recipes are plentiful here!), almost every evening there's a small concert organized around the piano and amplifiers. The atmosphere is pleasantly cosmopolitan. Local produce store. A place with a difference.

El Camino is a veritable institution, where backpackers and visitors returning from expeditions come together to share a cold beer and a deliciously nourishing high-calorie burger in a rocking atmosphere. Themed evenings (around music, sport and food) punctuate the passage of the week, and live music sometimes livens up the evenings! In short, it would be a shame to pass through Pucon without visiting El Camino. For gourmets and beer lovers!

Here's an address that's well worth a visit in Arica! Born almost 20 years ago (August 2004) from the meeting of two businesses (one gastro, the other touristic), Café del Mar is a space dedicated to travel and literature, but also a web-friendly place and a restaurant! The warm welcome and friendly environment make you want to take a look at the daily menu. Some suggestions? Baked beef with abuela lentils and parmesan; roast chicken with ottogi sauce and fuyon rice; Carne mechada with a mix of potatoes, sweet potatoes and baked pumpkin!

Opened in 2014, La Ventana de Elisa will soon be blowing out its 10 candles. 10 years of loyal service that has satisfied the palates and stomachs of locals and travelers alike. This charming tearoom/restaurant is the perfect place to stop (note: it's only open on Fridays and weekends!) and recharge your batteries in pleasant surroundings. Enjoy sweet and savoury tarts, crispy sandwiches and omelettes, fresh coffees, teas and hot chocolate. Local products and good cheer!

It's quite simple: at La Casona del Rey, you can eat a bit of everything! You step inside a large, thatched, earth-red building, before taking a closer look at the menu: grilled beef with mashed potatoes, braised fish fillet with baby vegetables, nachos and guacamole, roast chicken with fried potatoes, garlic shrimp stir-fry, as well as snacks such as pizzas, burgers, empanadas and sandwiches. In short, it's a popular Putre address that works all the time and for just about everyone!

A very nice surprise! Run by a local family, this charming address offers dishes prepared with love. The menu is bathed in the Mediterranean and sprinkled with Chilean touches: the chef strives to offer Italian cuisine that is generous and creative, without taking the lead. Meet at the back of the restaurant on a small intimate terrace with trees to treat your taste buds! You'll love the sorrentinos with squid and a fish and shrimp sauce or the seafood fetuccini. The service is very friendly and attentive.

Perhaps one of the best addresses for healthy eating in Caracoles. The huge serving room unfurls under a skilfully arranged thatched roof, and all the elements of the decor, natural and colorful, contribute to creating a sense of well-being. On the menu, in addition to a fine collection of juices and smoothies, there's a choice of salads, pastas, tacos, sandwiches, soups and ceviches, as well as meat and fish dishes. Todo Natural's strength also lies in its excellent vegetarian dishes and pleasant service!

The belvedere on which the old, decaying Circular building sits is an attraction in itself: from the small square dominated by a century-old tree, you can enjoy the view before turning your attention to the menu. On the terrace or in the service room that seems to float above the void, you'll have to choose between a goat's cheese salad, tuna tartare, steamed almejas or grilled octopus with chillies, to name just a few of the star dishes. Certainly the best address in the neighborhood in terms of value for money!

Open only for lunch on weekdays, and for lunch and dinner on weekends, special care is taken in both plate presentation and service. It is one of the most authentic tables in the city, especially frequented by the locals: a sign of a sure value. Fish and seafood dishes vary according to the season. On the menu, you will also find meats, order a pulmay (curanto in a pan) or locos without hesitating, it's delicious. During the week, at lunchtime, a fixed-price menu will delight those with no money. An address for those who want to be satiated after the meal is over: the portions are very generous. Go to the 1st floor to enjoy the view.

Restaurant reserved for the miners of the company, but it is possible to be served if there is room, and by seducing the boss who is a little madonna of los mineros. The full menu is not too expensive. Hopefully, the dish of the day will be a straight salmon out of the lake.

An institution for almost 50 years. A map with Italian influences, whose pasta is always appreciated, like homemade steaks (with ham, cheese, fries). However, it is sometimes uneven.

Cuisine kitchen, in a small place that fills quickly. The hotel was very clean and very clean. Generous portions. Perfect to familiarize yourself with typical Chilean dishes.

A daring decoration in an old house from the last century, a little kitsch: the bright red velvet curtains marry large three-metre high stained glass windows. Four different atmospheres united by a more minimalist central living room, crowned by a superb steel candelabra. The cuisine has Peruvian and Thai influences and is well presented and tasty. The menu includes parillas, cordero, cerdo and pasta. You can also just have an aperitif. One of the best addresses in town, our favorite in any case.

A room that resembles the festive hall of some municipalities, with tables aligned as in the, of school canteens, but with television. At noon, a menu is offered at a decent price. The dishes are very good and rich (lenguado or sole).

A rather lively restaurant and bar.

Restaurant that has been able to meet tourist expectations. A patio with a roof roof, where a great fire comes to warm the cool nights of the desert. Good music, excellent service and menu not too expensive midday and evening, with special attention for vegetarians.

From the street, you can see the foyer, which invites you to come in. The menu is not too expensive, and the cuisine is good and varied. A little dilettante service, but it is not very serious since we are welcomed with kindness and good humour. The Lola gradually becomes an institution, the atmosphere is pleasant at the beginning of the evening, there is someone who plays the piano from time to time, then after dinner the atmosphere is more festive in the backyard where there is a floor: we take a lot of attention during electro evenings or karaoke parties.

An excellent Peruvian restaurant. On the menu: Dads have the huancaína, gallina aji and a superb seco de cordero. Very good service. To find out.
