Day 1: Arrival in Denpasar
Steps: Denpasar, Toyapakeh, Jimbaran
Arrival in Denpasar. Visit of the Pura Jagathnata of the capital and Museum. Sunset at Pura Uluwatu, directional temple perched on a cliff of the Bukit Peninsula. Dinner on Jimbaran beach.
Day 2: Visit of temples: Et Ayun and Pura Ulun Danau Bratan
Steps: Lac Bratan, Lovina, Mengwi
PURA ULUN DANU BRATAN
Day 3: Three temples, three discoveries
Steps: Sembiran
Excursion to the temples of Pura Beiji, Pura Maduwe Karang, Pura Ponjok Batu, which are distinguished by their imposing size or their bas-reliefs featuring Dutch settlers and their modern means of transportation. Overnight in the vicinity.
PURA PONJOK BATU
Day 4: Admiration of the Pura Ulun Danau Batur temple
Descent to Lake Batur. Visit the Pura Ulun Danau Batur temple and walk around the lake to discover the other small temples. Overnight on site.
LAC BATUR
Day 5: Sunrise on the largest temple of the island
Steps: Tirtagangga
Early in the morning, visit the largest temple on the island, the complex of Pura Besakih on the slopes of the volcano Agung. Overnight in Tirtagangga.
Day 6: Temples and water palace
Steps: Tirtagangga, Candidasa
At dawn, discovery of Pura Lempuyang then climb on foot to the temple of Pura Luhur Lempuyang. Return to Tirtagangga, visit the water palace. Night in Candidasa.
PURA LEMPUYANG
Day 7: Nusa Penida, the island where the evil spirit resides
Early in the morning departure for Padang Bai from where we take a boat to Nusa Penida, the island where resides the most powerful evil spirit of Bali, Jero Gede Macaling. Visit the Pura Dalem Penataran Ped. Return to Bali (the Balinese never dare to sleep on Nusa Penida). Night in Padang Bai.
PURA DALEM PENETARAN
Day 8: The bat cave
Steps: Toyapakeh, Ubud, Klungkung
Visit Pura Goa Lawah, the bat cave. Visit of the water gardens of the city of Klungkung. Road to Ubud.
PURA GOA GIRI PUTRI
Day 9: Visit to the Hindu Goddess of Education
Visit Pura Gunung Kawi and Pura Tirta Empul in the north ofUbud. In Ubud, Pura Saraswati, dedicated to the Hindu goddess of education, is embellished with a lotus pond. In the evening, traditional dance show at Pura Dalem of Ubud.
Day 10: In the sacred valley
Visit the temples of the sacred valley of Petanu south ofUbud. Sunset at Pura Tanah Lot.
PURA TANAH LOT
Day 11: To the meeting of spirits and energies
Steps: Toyapakeh, Balian, Tanah Lot
The most courageous will drive to Pura Rambut Siwi, a large temple on the west coast of Bali attributed to the memory of Nirartha, like Tanah Lot and other coastal temples. Overnight at Balian Beach, a beautiful beach (with dangerous waters) that is said to have a strong spiritual energy.
Day 12: Journey in a natural setting in Wongayagede
Head for the village of Wongayagede at the foot of Mount Batukau. A few kilometers away, the great directional temple Pura Luhur Batukau nestled in a natural setting. Night in Wongayagede.
Day 13: The sacred forest of the monkeys
Return south through the sacred forest of Sangeh monkeys. Visit the temple of Petitgentet above Seminyak, overnight in Seminyak.
