On the map, Bedugul is simply the name of the small area at the top of the hill from the south, on the shores of Lake Bratan, where the Taman Rekreasi, or leisure base, is located.Lake Bratan lies at an altitude of 1,200 metres beneath the 2,096-metre-high Mount Catur. Its beautiful, dark waters, in a recessed setting, give a glimpse of banks where water lilies and water lilies cluster.By extension, the lake region is known as Bedugul. After Bedugul, the road from the capital, Denpasar, leads to the village of Candi Kuning, where you'll find a market, a botanical park and accommodation in the village and beyond. You then arrive at Pancasari, home to the bus station. If you're coming from the north, you'll reach Lake Bratan via Pancasari. The easiest way to get there is to use your own vehicle, either a rental or a chauffeur-driven car, especially for exploring Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. The scenic drive along their shores alone is worth the trip. It's best to plan this excursion in the morning, as the view is more often unobstructed. You can arrange for a chauffeur-driven car on site to take you for a drive, or leave for another part of the island. It's also possible to make enquiries at local accommodation providers.
