Head of 9 communes, Lignières is a pleasant small town. The river L gives it charm and the nickname of "little Venice berrichonne". It is also close to the vast forest of Saint-Thibault and the Étang Pond. In the past it belonged to the abbey Notre-Dame d'Issoudun.
