The township of Châteauneuf-sur-Cher stretches between Bourges and Saint-Amand-Montrond, to the south of the natural region of Champagne Berrichonne. To see: the castle, but simply from the outside because this fortress of the th century is not open to the visit. Another monument of exception, Notre-Dame-des-Enfants Basilica, inscribed on the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments since 1983, is the only religious building in France to be dedicated to children. Each year a pilgrimage to the Virgin brings together the children and teenagers of the diocese in the nave and in the park. Under its vaults, a beautiful th century Cavaillé-Coll organ is installed. The beautiful valley of the Cher, the wood of the Jarrie, invites you to walk, fishing and hunting. A canoe base and a camping as well as a few local specialities make it possible to stop in this charming canton.
