On a map, Bonorva is just a speck lost in the Sardinian countryside, but this village (whose name means "good earth") and its surroundings seduced us with their authenticity and the colors of this "volcanic bocage" of solidified ash, whose small hills are pierced with holes like in a local Gruyère cheese. It is said that the purest Sardinian is spoken here. But Bonorva is famous for its Domus de Janas, the Sant'Andrea Priu necropolis, the finest Neolithic testimony in Sardinia. The Parco Mariani and its paths invite you to go hiking, and the medieval hamlet of Rebeccu is a little-known gem.
