Torralba is the gateway to the Nuraghes Valley and is home to a beautiful Romanesque church. Its hilly landscape is criss-crossed by streams and springs which have favoured human settlement since the Neolithic period. Numerous archaeological remains dot the countryside, including Santu Antine, the most important Nuragic site after Barumini. During the Judicats period, Torralba was attached to the curatoria of Cabu Abbas and the diocese of Torres. This led to the construction of a large country church in the 11th century, Nostra Signoria di Cabu Abbas. The village still has a medieval look with its cobbled streets and stone benches.
