We are here at the tip of the island, at the feet of volcanoes on the top of which the clouds cling, forming small hoods, capelo in Portuguese. This is where the village got its name from. An isolated village, full of charm, still made up of authentic basalt houses whose windows and doors are painted in red or green. Here the earth has often shaken, the volcanoes have awakened, forcing the inhabitants to flee in search of a place where safety would not be a constant uncertainty. But the charm of the place made them come back, restore the houses, to give life back to this beautiful part of the island
