Fontinhas is a charming little village located in the beautiful landscapes of the northeast of the island of Terceira. Located in an area of waterways and fertile soils, it is probably the numerous fountains of the village that gave it its name (Fontinhas means "small fountains"). Not far away, from the viewpoint of Pico do Celeiro, at 228 meters above sea level, there are superb panoramic views of the surroundings of Fontinhas and the Atlantic Ocean.
