Off the coast of Boston is a group of islands, thirty-four to be precise, which make up the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area. Endowed with beaches, greenery and bucolic paths, they form a world apart, far from the bustle of Boston. The most popular islands are George Island, with the historic Fort Warren Fort, Spectacle Island, with its hiking trail and beautiful view of Boston, Peddocks Island, where you can relive scenes from Shutter Island, and Lovells Island, where you come for picnics, swimming and camping
