Halfway between the long beaches of the Pacific and the mountain village of El Valle, this small town offers no particular tourist attractions, apart from a pleasant French-run bed & breakfast. An interesting base for those wishing to enjoy both the sea and the green mountains. Allow around a quarter of an hour by car to reach the first beaches, and barely more for El Valle. Non-motorized travellers will find it easy to get around on the frequent minibuses (during the day) between San Carlos and El Valle, or Panamá-El Valle. At night, you'll have to take a cab.
