This village of around 3,000 inhabitants, which spills out onto the Pan-American Highway, is a quiet town with all amenities. A few restaurants and grocery stores, as well as a bank, are located on the main avenue, not far from the central park. San Carlos is also the gateway to a number of beautiful beaches. Near the Marina, the long La Ensenada beach begins, also accessible by car and where you can rent small ranchos to protect yourself from the heat of the sun. This beach is also where the San Carlos fishermen come ashore in the morning. Continuing along the coast, you arrive at El Palmar.
