The city developed around the neoclassical monastery of Sant Estève, but it is most famous for its lake, which at two kilometers long is the largest lake in Catalonia. It was here that the rowing events of the Barcelona Olympic Games were held in 1992. Today, you can still go out in a boat or kayak and take advantage of the city's high-level sports facilities to swim, row and even train for triathlons. And discover, not far from the lake, the Neolithic park of Draga where you can learn how the inhabitants of this lake lived 7000 years ago.
