At the heart of the Volcanic Park, this small medieval town boasts the greatest diversity of volcanic phenomena. After a visit to the town center, with its beautiful Plaça Major and its irregular arcades leading to the castle and the church of Santa Maria, you can set off to explore the surrounding area. There's no shortage of things to do here: hot-air ballooning, hiking, horse-riding or quad-biking to the Croscat and Margarida volcanoes, cycling through the sumptuous Fageda d'en Jordàbeech grove... Santa Pau is also famous for a species of bean endemic to the area, the fesols, and once a year celebrates this specialty.
