Dressed in white between terraces of olive trees, it has long been a village isolated from the rest of Catalonia by the surrounding mountains. A peculiarity which has meant that it has only been accessible by boat for centuries. This small port still attracts artists, painters or writers, even if the constructions of the last decades have slightly attenuated its cubist profile. Its atmosphere is reminiscent of Saint-Martin-en-Ré, with the added bonus of the Mediterranean sun. Maybe it's due to the feeling of still being on an island... On the downside, tourists flock in the summer. It is therefore preferable to visit it out of season and outside the weekend, ideally.
