Day 1: Girona

Steps: Girona - Gérone

Visit the architectural heritage of the historic center of the province's capital(cathedral, Arab baths, Jewish quarter), lunch on a terrace, then discover the modernist Casa Masó and the excellent Film Museum. If opportunity and finances permit, dinner at the famous Celler de Can Roca.

Day 2: Banyoles and its surroundings

Steps: Banyoles, Porqueres

Small morning walk in the Llémena valley before taking the direction of Banyoles for a well-deserved lunch on the shores of the lake. Afternoon dedicated to discovering the city, its native link with the lake area and its museums. Then direction the singular natural space of the Banyoles for a mini-cruise on the lake at sunset.

Day 3: Besalú and Olot

Steps: Besalú, Olot

Stroll through medieval Besalú and its famous bridge, discovering the Romanesque heritage and Jewish heritage of one of the most picturesque villages in La Garrotxa. Lunch in the center. In the afternoon, we head for Olot and its 40 volcanoes, its modern, modernist town center and the ascent of the Montsacopa volcano, with a stop at the Espai Crater. Gourmet Catalan dinner at Les Cols restaurant.

Day 4: Le Ripollès

Steps: Ripoll, Camprodon, Sant Joan De Les Abadesses, Molló, Beget

On the way to Ripoll, we stop off at Sant Joan de les Abadesses to visit its monastery and the abbey palace, followed by a guided tour of the Santa Maria de Ripoll monastery and its impressive Roman portal, to be combined with a visit to the Scriptorium and the excellent ethnology museum. A more rural afternoon, with a visit to the Camprodon valley: the modernist Maristany walk, the Molló wildlife park and the sumptuous medieval village of Beget. Weather permitting, visit the Ribes valley with dinner and overnight stay at the Resguard dels Vents, a magnificent hotel overlooking the town of Ribes de Freser.

Day 5: High mountain escapade

Steps: Puigcerdà, Llívia

We will take the train to the Sanctuary of Núria to gain some altitude, with a view of the splendid Catalan Cerdanya. Visit of Puigcerdà before lunch, then direction Llívia where we will discover the oldest pharmacy in Europe. Sporty afternoon: golf, mountain hiking or mountain biking, as you wish.

Day 6: La Selva

Steps: Caldes De Malavella, Parc De Les Guilleries, Arbúcies, Santa Coloma De Farners, Sant Hilari Sacalm

Head south to discover the water comarca: Santa Coloma de Farners to learn more about ratafia, Caldes de Malavella to take care of yourself thanks to the benefits of thermalism. A discovery of the comarca of water that will continue with a visit to Sant Hilari Salcam and its 100 springs. After lunch, a stop at the Ethnological Museum ofArbuciès, where you can learn about the history of the region, inhabited by brigands and witches, before setting off on a hike in the heart of the superb Parc des Guilleries.

Day 7: Montseny

Steps: Girona - Gérone

A day of hiking in the splendid and majestic Montseny massif, with a picnic on the ridges, before returning to Girona at the end of the day for dinner in one of the city's restaurants, such as the Normal or the Bistrot café.
