Travel Guide Sandiaojiiao 三貂角

At 1 km from Maoao, Sandiao Cape (三貂角), the easternmost point of Taiwan, is famous for its lighthouse. Built in 1935 and 17 m high; its beams are visible for more than 14 km. It is possible to visit the inside of the lighthouse and to go up to the lantern floor. But there are other places worth staying, such as the Sandiaojiao hiking trail, which goes deep into the hills and ends at an impressive viewpoint north of the lighthouse.
