Before heading to Yanliao (Taiwan's longest sandy beach), why not make a stop at Audi, formerly known as Santiago Bay - the name given by Spanish settlers in 1662. It is a den of seafood restaurants, and it was the first city to be won by the Japanese in the 19th century. To get there, take the train to Fulong, then a taxi, or the Fulong-Keelung bus. Apart from its cheap and quality restaurants, this city of 20,000 inhabitants is not of real interest. But once there, why not take a look at the tomb of Wu-Sha-tsen (Chinese pioneer of the late 18th century), located facing the coast and nestled in the Jenho Temple.
