The site has been occupied without interruption for 5,000 years. The Triboque gave it its first name: Brocomagnus, which became Brumath. The town reached its apogee in the 13th century. From then on, it became the object of continuous and destructive quarrels between lords. The last castle still standing today dates from the 18th century. It now houses a Protestant church and Brumath's archaeological museum. The lake plays host to a number of events, as does the Fun Parc. The surrounding fields and forests are ideal for flat walks and bike rides. Last but not least, the flying club is the perfect place to take to the skies.
