Travel Guide Monte Tamaro

Between Lugano and Bellinzona lies Monte Tamaro. From the summit (1,962 m), the view of the pre-alpine landscape, lakes and snow-capped Alpine peaks is breathtaking! There's plenty to do here, including an adventure park (with a 400 m-long zip line, accessible from age 9, a toboggan run and bungee jumping), mountain bike trails and a spa. There are many great hikes, such as , the most spectacular of which is the Tamaro-Lema hike from Monte Tamaro to Monte Lema in around 5 hours. Along the way, you can admire Lake Maggiore, the famous Verzasca Valley, the towns of Bellinzona and Locarno, and on the other side the city of Lugano.
