CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA DEGLI ANGELI

The church is located at the top of Monte Tamaro, at an altitude of 1,567 m, in the town of Alpe Foppa. It is accessed by the cable car that connects the summit to Rivera. Built between 1992 and 1994 by architect Mario Botta at the request of the cable car owner in a very contemporary style, it is made of concrete covered with porphyry and has the appearance of a 65 m long viaduct bridge. Inside, there are two inlaid decorations by Enzo Cucchi.
