Located in the municipality of Galdar la Sardina has been one of the places that have counted in the history of Gran Canaria, especially because of its port of Sardina del Norte. Of medium size, it has twice played an important role. At the time of the conquest, by serving as an entry point for the conquerors to arrive directly at the aboriginal political centre and after the conquest to serve as an exit point for sugar products. Today it attracts mainly bathers and travellers who come here in search of tranquillity. But if you continue the walk along the waterfront, you will also discover the traces of the aboriginal occupation.
