Named Satautey, the "valley of palm trees" by the aborigines, this very pleasant village has a very cute little church and people also come here for its vegetable market which is held on Saturday mornings. You can visit its house wine museum which presents the wine history of the island and offers wine tastings. We will also discover its aboriginal past by visiting the hamlet of La Atalaya, renowned for its pottery made using Guanche techniques and which has a few cave dwellings. Finally, about 8 kilometres to the east, we will reach the Caldera de Bandama, the main volcanic site on Gran Canaria Island.
