Located in the eponymous district, Ba Vi National Park is known as "the lung of the capital" with an area of 10,815 ha in mountainous terrain. It is dominated by the three peaks of Vua Peak (1,296 m), Tan Viên (1,226 m) and Ngoc Hoa (1,131 m). The park is home to a rich and diverse tropical and subtropical flora and fauna, including 45 species of mammals, 115 species of birds, 61 species of reptiles, and more than 1,000 recorded plant species. Ba Vi District is located west of Hanoi. It can be reached by the Lang-Hoa Lac road (Dai lo Thang Long) or by road 32 to the city of Son Tây.
