Rascafría is a typical village in Madrid's Sierra Norte region, rising to an altitude of 1,100 metres and nestling in the beautiful Lozoya Valley. An enchanting natural setting that welcomes thousands of weekend visitors in search of a change of scenery. The village's buildings are all charming, starting with the town hall, which dates back to the early 20th century and was renovated in 1984. Thanks to traditional architecture, many rural buildings have been preserved in good condition. These include the Casona (from 1726), the Casa de Postas (from the same year), the Casa de Batanes and the Corral de Comedias (next to the presbytery). Gastronomic days are organized in autumn.
