This hamlet of about a hundred souls lives very simply on the shores of this beautiful lake, isolated from everything. Its inhabitants are for the most part fishermen's families. They cultivate vegetables and their small garden plots are often colored with a thousand flowers. A rare peace reigns there. Around the lake, three temples stand. The main one, Pura Gubug or Pura Ulun Danau Tamblingan, is located in front of the village, on the southern shore of the lake. It has three meru of 5, 9 and 11 thatched roofs, the highest of which is dedicated to the lake goddess. The guides will gladly take you to the other temples, which are hidden in the forest.
