The charm of this mainland village (4 km from Korčula), easily accessible by car or bus, is obvious. One of the oldest on the island, it has preserved its lauze shelters and centuries-old stone buildings. Some have been converted into guest houses or organic restaurants(agroturizam). Ideal for cheaper accommodation when Korčula is full. The village is famous for its fresh homemade pasta(makaruni žrnovski) and hiking trails between coastal paths and nearby bays. On St. Roch's Day (August 16), a traditional martial dance, the moštra, is always performed.
