Lumbarda stretches around a bay on the sea side, and tends its vineyards on the land side. The port city's specialty is its natural white wine (grk). In the 16th century, wealthy residents of Korčula built their second homes in Lumbarda. A peaceful seaside resort atmosphere still prevails. There are some superb sandy beaches in the vicinity, making it a paradise for board sports enthusiasts! Famous Croatian sculptors were born here: Ivo Lozica, Lujo Lozica, Stipe Nobilo and the most famous, Frano Kršinić, whose bronze war memorial can be seen in the town center.
