30 km southeast of Šibenik, the medieval village of Primošten is one of our most photographed localities. Like all coastal towns, Primošten belonged to the Republic of Venice for several centuries. Explore the old town on foot around the ramparts, through the steep, rock-cut streets to the belfry, the area around St. George's Church (1485, restored in 1760), the marine cemetery and up to the highest point of the peninsula, where restaurants are open in season. Taste the local red wine, produced in the region's karst hills. Before the marina, Velika Raduća beach offers a view of Primošten.
