Petit Futé's opinion on KONOBA TORKUL

Between the old town and the main beach, the terrace of this konoba offers a breathtaking view of Primošten. You can sit in the dining room and enjoy the view. This hostel opened in 2001 and is considered to be one of the must-visit restaurants in Primošten. The fisherman's kitchen offers a wide variety of fish, seafood and other specialties of the house, such as whole octopus with potatoes stewed under a bell on a wood fire(peka in Croatian, to be ordered in advance).

Owner's Message KONOBA TORKUL

Konoba "Torkul" is located in the center of Primošten, near Don Ive Šarić square, right in front of the entrance to the peninsula. The small church of St. Rok on the square was built in 1680. Our Konoba is partly located on the place called "Crnica", a place of residence of local farmers for generations. Somewhere in these past centuries, a tradition of Konobas of Primošten started. This is where our great-grandparents, after working hard in the fields, spent the little free time they had with the vine and dried sardines. By renovating one of these old houses, we managed to proudly show all our guests the authentic atmosphere of "once upon a time".

Accompanied by the sounds of Dalmatian music, we offer a rich choice of Dalmatian cuisine: fish specialties, mussels, meat and wine of Croatian origin. As far as food and drinks are concerned, you can find a wide range of prices. Here you can find the best shellfish and crabs. The offer is wide and ranges from always fresh meat specialties (steaks, beafsteaks) to sea products (quality fish, sea crabs and several kinds of shellfish). The most famous speciality of our Konoba is the food prepared under the "peka", especially the octopus. We emphasize the daily freshness of the food and the maintenance of the authentic flavor of each meal. The main characteristic of our cuisine is to insist on authenticity and naturalness.
