Situated 4 km south of Smokvica, 24 km from Vela Luka and 30 km from Korčula, it is one of the most important seaside resorts on the southern coast of the island of Korčula. At the end of the 19th century, during the time of the Habsburg Empire, the village was equipped with a port to export wine from the region's vineyards. Brna stretches between two jetties and boasts a number of interesting coves, hiking trails and a wide choice of excursions - Lastovo is only 1 hour away by boat - as well as numerous accommodation facilities, many of which are seasonal rentals, and the large complex (Aminess Lume Hotel), which spoils the scenery a little.
