Just 3 km from Polače, this peaceful village founded in the 18th century and with beautiful stone houses is the starting point for many expeditions in the surrounding area. In the immediate vicinity of Goveđari are the island's two salt lakes (Veliko and Malo Jezero) within the national park, while the sea is 5 km away. The village is home to around 50 year-round residents, who in the past lived mainly from farming, but today there are more and more seasonal rentals available and tourism is becoming the main activity in the area. It's a great place to stay!
