The pearl of the wine world, Barbaresco strikes visitors with the charm of its narrow streets and the enchanting landscape that can be seen from its height. From a distance, a 12th century tower, now isolated, is the only vestige of a larger defensive structure comprising the village and the castle. It belongs to the commune which regularly undertakes consolidation work. The territory of the municipality, occupied since prehistoric times, has been entirely devoted to vineyards for more than two centuries, and the wine that the small town of barely 600 inhabitants produces from the nebbiolo grape variety is very famous and constitutes the main part of its economy.
