Montà, also called Montà d'Alba, with a population of just over 4,500, is geographically part of the Roero. The Ecomuseo delle Rocche del Roero, based in Montà, has set up several educational and ecological walking paths in the municipality: a beekeeping trail to make the walker aware of the role of bees and the production of honey, a truffle trail (white of course), another of the chestnut, but also a religious trail that will guide you to the Santuario dei Piloni, a very ancient place of worship with a calvary and its 14 chapels leading to the top of this small "sacred mountain".
