Collex-Bossy borders Versoix and Bellevue, as well as France on the Divonne side. It has a rather agricultural vocation and one finds as landscapes fields of cereals, vineyards and market gardens. It includes the localities of Collex, Bossy, Crest d'El and Vireloup. It is rather residential and only a few buildings have been established while keeping perfectly the village character of the local architecture. It is a pleasant village where city dwellers like to come for a walk and meet what has almost become the emblem of the village: the bison!
