The Fazao-Malfakassa National Park is a nature reserve of nearly 192,000 ha. With beautiful forests and fertile plains, it is home to lions, buffalo, antelopes, elephants, hartebeests, wildebeests and warthogs. It is also a bird and reptile sanctuary. Closed to the public for several years, the park now depends on the Ministry of the Environment, which wishes to develop the area into a large national park. The park can be reached from Atakpamé or Sokodé by the Lomé-Dapaong national road. In the village of Adjengré, about 30 km before Sokodé, take the track at the mosque.
