No special formalities for EU nationals, as Denmark is part of the Schengen area: do not forget your (valid) identity card or passport. In principle, only the airline will ask you for one or the other at check-in, but it can always be used in case of a problem. To drive a car, bring your driver's licence, the green card of international insurance and the vehicle's papers to prepare for any eventuality. For non-EU nationals, it is necessary to apply for a visa at the Danish consulate.
